It's Black Music Month and we kick it off with the producer and arranger of one of the biggest songs of the 70s... "Shame" by Evelyn Champagne King! T. Life overheard the young teenager singing while cleaning a washroom at Philadelphia International Records, and the rest is history! The million-selling track was used as the opening theme for Keenan Ivory Wayans' 1994 movie Low Down Dirty Shame and was included on the 1998 RCA movie soundtrack CD More Monty.
The songs and guitar licks of T. Life or Theodore Life can be found on various titles in the Philadelphia International Records catalog and on numerous songs that he tracked with fellow Philly musician/producer Bunny Sigler. Bunny Sigler. The Jacksonville, FL, native also played in a band called Raw Soul that went on to become Frankie Beverly and Maze.
