NABFEME New Jersey

A native of  Newark, NJ Jaleesa McEachin began writing poetry at the age of 9.  The first poem that she performed, "The World" was written with her mother.  With drama classes under her belt, Jaleesa began acting at 16 with the Irvington High School Public Speaking Team and  later attended Berkeley College where she was a motivational speaker for United Way's Celebrity Read. She also performed as a speaker for other events throughout her years at Berkeley College. Jaleesa continued her education at Essex County College where she participated in the music department while studying Criminal Justice. Jaleesa published her first book "Poetic Inner Me" in March of 2013 and she is currently working on her second book. Jaleesa McEachin is a Motivational Speaker, Spoken Word Artist, Writer, Poet, Actress, Author, Singer, Songwriter, and Director.

In her role as NABFEME New Jersey Operations Manager, Jaleesa sets Network policy, manages events and governs overall activities of the organization in the New Jersey region.
