A leader in in the healthcare industry, Dr. Renee Matthews has appeared on various television shows such as, The Oprah Winfrey Show, Roland Martin’s NewsOne Now and WGN-TV’s People to People where she discusses a variety of health topics. She has also been a featured medical correspondent on SiriusXM’s Sway in the Morning and WVON (“The Voice of A Nation”).

A contributing writer for Ebony Magazine where she addresses topics such as asthma, health, and wellness, Dr. Renee is also a contributing health blogger for and Good Enough Mother; a leading community dedicated to mothers, providing advice and exposure of the myths of motherhood.

Dr. Renee is an asthmatic, which drives her passion for asthma education.  In 2013 she was honored with the Friend of Mobile C.A.R.E. Award for her commitment to raising the awareness of asthma in the City of Chicago. A speaker in high demand, Dr. Renee Matthews earned her undergraduate degree in 1999 and her Medical Doctorate in 2005 from Michigan State University. She spent the early part of her career as a professional educator for the Institute for Transfusion Medicine Cord Blood Services; she is a Daisy Scout Leader and member of the Vestry at her Church.

Dr. Renee continues to work on her long-term goal of educating and transforming the community toward optimal wellness.  She has become a powerful leader in the healthcare industry.
